TD04 Oil Drain Flange

I know some of you want this flange so you can do a nice oil return line.

Dammit. They want $19 to ship it to Canada, and the part only costs $14.99. Oh well, sucks to be me.

Thanks for the link WOT.

Sometimes Function7 sells them cheaper on eBay:

Thanks for the link, looks like they'll still try to bend me over on the shipping :(

It's not the cost, it's the principle of of it. I'm not paying that much to have something that small shipped.

Ben 12-06-2006 07:33 PM

Ima gonna get one for myself. You want me to get one for you and send it your way at actual cost?

jayc72 12-06-2006 08:07 PM

That would be awesome Ben, thanks.

WOT, would this be the correct item for my greddy http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Funct...QQcmdZViewItem

Is the gasket necessary (additional $3)?

Thanks

brgracer 12-06-2006 08:45 PM

That's the exact flange I bought and added that stainless steel pipe to get the rubber hose away from the hot manifold.

Ben 12-06-2006 10:50 PM

Thanks!

did you get the gasket?

Any oild drain flange that is listed for a GT series ball bearing turbo should work..

I just ordered one from ATPturbo.com for $15...and it is better quality...why not do that?

spike 12-07-2006 02:44 AM

The gasket from the rx7 fd3s twin turbo set-up will fit the Greddy oil drain flange.

Kelly 12-07-2006 10:52 AM

Well if the ATP Turbo one works I know a good guy to pick one up through....

jayc72 12-07-2006 11:24 AM

It would make sense that the GT series flange would work, Function 7 lists that as on of the turbos their flange works with. The only issue will be the allen bolts, the TD04 take 6mm and the GT 8mm. I can source those myself :)

I'm going to try this flange and see if it works.

ATP-FLA-010 (flange)
GRT-GSK-008 (gasket)

I think the flange is tapped for 1/2 NPT

I will buy it back from you if it doesn't work. Flipside can use it on the twin GT28RS M3.

I bought the version with the -10AN male thread from the same guy. Very nice piece of hardware. Felt like it was made out of solid stuff, not cast pot metal, and well machined.

Canadian Distributor

Function-7 has a Canadian distributor. The reason why shipping is so expensive is because of duty. While you can get around paying duty by "Gifting" an item, you'll be hard pressed to find companies that are willing to do that as part of thier standard business practice.

Visit the distributor's website at:

http://www.bepcanada.com

I'm not sure how much stuff you've ordered and had delivered to Canada but I've done a fair bit myself. Everytime I buy something from the states I get to pay duty, brokerage and taxes once I get it. I've never had a vendor pay that for me.

Thanks for the link,

Jay

Did the ATP-FLA-010 flange and gasket from ATPTURBO work?

jayc72 03-16-2007 07:31 PM

yes

Exhondaman 03-20-2007 08:51 AM

Can someone edjumecate me on what exactly this part does? I'm a little confused. On the ebay link, it states "These flanges can also be installed on the oil pan, secured by nut and bolt so no welding is required!", but it sounds like you guys are talking about installing them on the turbo housing itself. Thanks.
