torques sequence for Greddy manifold?

Hey Guys,

Just wondering, when installing the greddy manifold is there a special torque sequence to follow? Could this be a factor with cracked manifolds?

Also wondering about the studs/nut upgrade.

Which ones are the important ones?

head to manifold?
turbo to manifold?
Dp to exhaust?

does anyone have the exact specs of the ones needed?

size pitch length grade etc....

Thanks

Jason

all are inportant... It will ruin your day if not installed with the right studs.
(dont ask)

The oem doesn't need replacement... there fine...

Also make the mani cuts!!

Threads?? I heard m8 x 1.25 (just call or mail FM and sent them to you, also, if you need a tap and barb for oil return, maybe a heatshield.)

upgrade the turbo/manifold to studs, and the DP/turbo bolts.

I usually tighten from the middle out, on the studs to the head. And the OEM ones are more than fine.

As far as the others, If you don't want to call and wait to get them shipped from FM, the studs for the turbo/manifold, and turbo/dp studs they are indeed M8x1.25 1" long will be fine, you'll need 8 of them. You can get the studs at most auto stores, but get ones with shoulders like pictured here.

Thanks,

I dont have the kit yet, but you say that the oem manifold to head bolts are fine. Which ones do I need from the picture, the last one? and I need 8 of the same ones? Do I need washers or special nuts too?

Thanks for the help

the ones in the pic are the same pitch/thread, just different lengths, the 2 on the right are .75". the 8 studs I'd recomend to change are the ones that hold the turbo to the manifold, and the D/P to the turbo. I used split lock washers, and regular nuts.

Double nut the stud like I did, and tighten the stud all the way onto the shoulder.
