I'm having my manifold cross drilled and slotted for optimal cooling and performance.

How much power can I make with this kit on stock internals? I assume my powercard is compatible with it for tuning? This looks pretty aggressive too, is it going to make any dangerous jumps in TQ at 2750 RPM? I only ask because I plan to do autoX with this at first.

Just as soon as it's ready, I will happily buy one.

Minus the turbo since I already have it.

and minus the fueling/electronics since I already have those too.

Serious as a heart attack

Ebay manifold should be standard, with an option to upgrade to the TSE mani.

Andrew: Have the newer 6258/6758 v-band options changed anything or are you still planning on sticking with the T25 inlet?

No 6258 v-band AFAIK. TiAL's EWG version doesn't count. 6758's Vband will be large A/R which is also undesirable. We're sticking with the T25 inlet. 6758 will be offered in the same 0.64a/r T25 footprint, with the 7163 coming in a large a/r T25 footprint, so you'll get everything from 225whp to 500whp with the exact same manifold/downpipe.

I really hope there are people out there motivated enough to build a 500 whp miata. The 7163 will hit that easily.

I'd do it if I had $2500 or whatever it is to buy a 7163 - but I don't

Think about it... it's only $2500 - whatever you get out of your 6758. Not too bad.

Only worth it for those with questionable judgement. I think we'll sell a few 6758 setups to people with built motors who are willing to trade a small spool loss for a ~400whp capable turbo. I suspect that will be enough for almost everyone, but if you really want to see what a 500whp Miata feels like, the 7163 will drop into the same place as the 6758 does.

I have good reasons for stretching the R&D timeline. The manifold has changed substantially from when this thread was started, so naturally the time to market has changed as well. The manifold we release at the end of the day will be an excellent all-round part for everything from smog-legal 225whp 6258 setups all the way up to built motor flex-fuel setups.

I spent a few days last week at AEM in Hawthorne getting some hands-on time with their new Infinity EMS. The high-end EMS setup we'll release for the full kit may or may not have real motorsport-level traction control.

Real like racelogic level of goodness?

<-Twice bitten thrice shy by the AEM paper vs reality effect.
