Question; Swain apparently has a 3wk turnaround on coatings right now (actually my manifold is a wk late atm), are the downpipes looking like end of May before we'd see them? Making some hard decisions, I'm not sure I can get the downpipe coated/returned and an exhaust fabbed in time for a trip on 6-30.

Edit- Looks like they can coat it used, since they blast the parts before coating. Good to know.

Downpipes will be late May/early June, yes.

These photos are of production parts. I should have them up on the website with some proper photos early next week. Pricing will be $250 for all four lines (less for GB/preorder folks). GB folks will have ~2 weeks to place their orders to qualify for the discount. That price includes the Vibrant hose separators for the water lines and short pieces of silicone hose and hose clamps to connect them to the engine, as well as the oil feed and drain adapters and fittings. The only thing it won't include is a drill/tap for the oil pan, but I can provide those if there's demand for it.

The oil feed line is -4AN, SS braid, sized to run from the oil pressure port under the intake manifold to the turbo. The outer coating is a nylon sheath to protect the rest of the engine bay from the abrasive SS lines. The drain is -10AN, same construction.

The water lines took some time to get right, but boy, are they right. Seamless 304SS tube, all steel fittings, CNC bent, and properly supported. They will last forever in any environment.

Any option for a 6an line as discussed in this thread?

Not at this time. I was aware of that suggestion from BW when we did the prototypes last year. CA winters aren't exactly cold, but I did DD the car with a 40"+ -4AN line all winter with no issues.

Oops, didn't mean to start something. I thought everyone read the tech document.

Those stainless tubes are looking mighty fine.

Will there be an option for coolant-only lines? I have a hose barb (whatever the FM2 kit uses), can we get the details on the fitting for the return line/pan union?

Coolant lines alone will be $150. Oil feed alone is $50 (with block adapter), oil drain is $100 (with turbo adapter and pan adapter). No discount on piecemeal parts. The fitting at the pan is a 3/8" NPT to -10AN adapter.

Just got the manifold back from SwainTech, here's the white lightning coating. The high spots near flanges were hit with a file and sit flush now. Interesting texture, I think this is going to do some work. Hardware was resbonded in before I had it coated, probably for the best

Studs don't look square with each other. Was it like that before sending it out?

Good eye, I just took a look and the top-rear stud is bent... Didn't happen during shipping, I packed the same box the manifold came in with more material to ship it. Can a resbonded stud be extracted..?

Walk me through it, am I looking at heat and prayers kind of not easy or a cut, drill and tap kind? May be relevant to others who have this happen

Edit; I'm going to try to convince it to move back when I get home- it doesn't look to have moved very far. First thread got damaged a small amount though, hope I can screw down over it because I don't think I can chase inconel studs lol

I managed to clean up some mangled inconel threads on a single die -- after that the die was ruined.

Resbond breaks with hand-tools. No heat, just double-nut and extract. Same as installation

Will there be a code for pre-order peeps to use for the line kits?
