Can anyone measure the length of the inconel studs that come with this kit? One of mine has ejected itself into neverneverland and I'm hoping to find out if Flyin Miata's studs are a drop in replacement without trying to remove the other three that are still present...

Measure the depth of the hole? add exposed length and you have it. Or is that not possible for some reason?

I think one 1 or 2 do, but they’re easily cut.

Since it looks like TSE are on hiatus / out of the game, what's the next best option? Are Kraken manifolds just as good for sustained track abuse? Lurking here for a few years the TSE manifold was hailed as the second coming of Jesus so I'm wondering what the other best option is for an EFR setup.

They are the best DIY manifold on the market as far as I'm aware. Welded tubular manifolds become a consumable with track use. The type of cast manifold that Kracken and TSE offers are more durable.

I don't know what the Kraken kit comes with, stud wise. Inconel, ultra-expesive "extreme heat" threadlocker, and safety wire are your friends when trying to keep things together in these kinds of environments. The nice thing about the TSE kit was that its just sorted out for you. If you never have safety wired things together before, lookup how they use it for aircraft. Inconel studs (bolts?) and/or exotic thread locker works too.

Kraken has more than a few customers who's cars see regular track abuse. If you follow his facebook he shares a lot of his customers pictures and video's. I've seen many red glowing manifolds and still haven't heard of a single one that's cracked. I ran a 1.6 one and a 1.8 one both of which were higher quality than my current TSE manifold.

I would still be running the Kraken setup if my buddy didn't give me a deal on his entire TSE kit and drivetrain swap.

@BEAVIS has been using a Kraken manifold on his car for awhile. I picked up a second hand (unused) Kraken EFR manifold and DP. It came with Inconel studs and copper lock nuts. I haven't gotten to abuse the kit yet, but hopefully I'll get a chance this summer/fall.

Kraken comes with inconel studs and copper lock nuts. These are more than enough for a streetcar.

The manifold had survived all my times on track, but I am slow. I did loose a stud though, so if you want to track your car you want to upgrade these with stage 8 locking hardware and some resbond. I think miatatroadster sells a small bottle that is more then enough.

I'm wondering if it might be time to start an entirely new All Things Kraken thread and lock this one. It doesn't seem like Andrew has any intent of producing anymore manifolds or complete turbo kits. If anyone has a question about TSE they could start a new thread.
