Turbo kit that gives highest WHP

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum and my girlfriend and I recently purchased a 2009 base MX-5. I know it's drive by wire so it's a little more complicated to boost but I just wanted to know what turbo or supercharger kits are available for MY 2009. Any help with be appreciated, thanks!

All the information you asked can be answered by spending 5 seconds in the google search engine.

Weird, I want the turbo kit with the highest crank HP.

Sorry I meant to say highest whp on a stock engine. I tried googling it and haven't come up with anything for model year 2009. All I get is 2007 or below. Flyin miata only gives kits for 2005 and below. I'm not sure if those are drive by wire.

Do you really think that's the only limiting factor? The turbo kit?

Tell you what, I'll be nice to you before the wolverines in here completely rip you apart:
Pick up a copy of "Maximum boost". Read it 5 times.
Then read every single faq and stickied thread on here regarding turbocharging.
Then come back with questions

What are you asking? What different manufactures make turbos for the NC? Or what is the failure point of the NC motor? Im not completely sure but i believe its around 300 +/- Although not many people have blown motors. Dont the 07 and the 09 have the same motor?

Grunt Z 12-02-2009 12:02 AM

I'm asking what manufacturers out there that make kits for the 2009 model year. I'm not sure if the 2007 and 2009 are the same motor. Sorry for not being specific. I'm not car illiterate just not too familiar with miatas. I currently own a 370Z which I'm also shopping for a turbo kit :D

Get a BEGi turbo kit in that case.
The one at the november dyno day made 280whp at 10psi if I remember correctly. Can't go wrong with that.

BEGI Miata Turbo NC S3 Turbo System BEGi

I think there are superchargers as well but no one uses those. There lame.

Grunt Z 12-02-2009 12:07 AM

To be honest I don't even know the nomenclature of the motor. I'm trying to learn as much as possible. As for turbo charging I'm familiar with it and what the limitations are. We are looking for an off the shelf kit that can be installed with a stock motor. Not looking for crazy power because that would involve building the motor.

Does that really matter? Neither one of us have an NC but both know extensive details on the subject by just reading past posts. Perhaps a send-off to m.net would be more appropriate?

You guys are so mean, haha

basically, There is the BEGi turbo kit, and then there is the cosworth supercharger

Call BEGi and find out of there kit will work on your car.
If it wont, wait until they have a kit that will. Just please, pleeease dont buy a supercharger. Their lame and do not belong on sports cars, also they are directly linked with erectile disfunction.

Wow 280whp is great! That's exactly what we are looking for. I'm purchasing a borla exhaust as we speak lol!

holly shit lol dude no one realy makes stuff for miatas that new. Most of us are to cheap to fork out that kinda cash on top of a new car. But in all honesty you best bet is to learn what the hell you are doing with forced induction and then make something yourself or get someone to make you a one off system. Becouse at the end of the day you are the one who has to live with the car and all of its lil nit picky issues from time to time. And to prevent you from blowing it up, you really should know what the hell you are doing. We can show you the how why etc, if fact we already have with our many faq's but the application of the data, is still up to you. gl to you man. And dont hesitate to talk to begi etc they are the only people i have heard of thus far modifing NC's.
