I'm clearing the decks to get ready for MSPNPII and wideband installation, along with a FM suspension kit. I just finished replacing the timing belt on my DD, and soon, on to the Miata.

I'm looking forward to the new sways and coilovers. After 13 years, the originals are pretty tired. After that, timing belt and water pump, and coolant reroute w/Mishimoto radiator. I'll do a leak-down test and replace plugs, fuel & air filters. Engine has never used or leaked any oil since new.

I also need to remedy a lingering gasoline smell in the trunk (and sometimes in cabin). This seems to be a common problem, with multiple causes over the various MY's. I repaired a very slightly weeping hose connection on the top of the tank last fall, but I found no other signs of fuel leaks, and the smell persists. Gas cap seems to seal ok - no codes. Do any of you have insight as to the likely cause before I replace all of the hose pieces?

I expect it'll take some time for me to get to the turbo kit purchase stage, but I have plenty to do before I need to make that decision. I *am* paying close attention to all the opinions and comments offered in this thread and elsewhere.

Thanks to all who have posted.
