Flyin Miata greddy heat shield fitment question.
Will this thing fit if I hook up stripes IC setup? Stock everything else.
I think I answered my own question with a search as White Roadster seems to have the FM shield and an IC setup in a pic of his engine bay, but I just want to double check.
Looks like you have to modify it slightly if you go to the BEGI or Turbo Tony downpipe?

I got a few thousand miles out of my clutch before having to replace it with an act.
My 6" rear is still holding. People say it's on borrowed time, but it's working.
I'll get the the 7" rear swaped when I can.

You're pushing out 255hp with the 6" rear? LSD or open? Mine is open.

it should work with I.C. pipes. its completely open on that side (driver side). I did have to make a small easy bracket to make it work with my 2.5" dp. its just a piece of flat bar with two holes in it to offset the soft mount location back about 1.5"

LSD. 1 of 2 options my "base" has (the other is A/C). Not that it matters. It's still the same 6" R&P, so every bit as likely to break--if not more likely
And it's going fine. I don't clutch-drop launch and I don't do any drifting.
I *DO* go WOT in first from a slow roll to 12 psi. All the time.

I wonder if its possible at all to heat treat that ring gear and pinion. for those of you who have broken the 6", is it the ring or pinion that goes first? or both? also, does someone have a picture of the broken gear's side profile? If I could figure out how deep it's heat treated, I could possibly get it hardened through my work, might be worth it? I dunno.
