Personally, I prefer the type that doesn't require you to take the line off to make adjustments. These are okay from what I've heard:

Ebay MBC

I'd rather pay the 50-100 dollars on a real one, but thats just me.

After struggling to control boost spike with my el-cheepo eBay MBC I splurged for the fancy TurboXS HPBC model. Honestly, I can't tell the difference. Even with a helper spring installed I'm still not seeing consistent boost.

Depends on your setup. I have a cheapie eBay MBC and I do not get boost spikes, period. My setup builds to 13psi and tapers off to around 10psi at redline. I'll be switching over to EBC via the MS eventually, but for now this works nicely.

Buy nothing from Vivid Racing. Overpriced by a HUGE margin.

I've been using one for two years, and never had a boost spike that could have killed my motor. Bought it from a guy on eBay, who still answers my support email today. ebay listing #300127883674
The "1 stage" MBC this thread refers to is not a bleeder type.
