waist gate actuator adjustment
When I first installed my CarTech IHI setup I lengthened the actuator rod to help reduce boost. I did not really know what I had so I wanted to be careful. I should have measured the adjustment I made, but it's to late now. I tried the search feature but cannot find an actual process to adjust the rod. So were do I start?

start by searching "waste" instead of "waist"

It's a pretty simple process. If it's a standard threaded rod, you can only make adjustments 1/2 turn at a time. If you're not using any kind of EBC/MBC, just go out and floor it in 4th and see how much boost you make.
If it's too much, lengthen the rod 1/2 turn and repeat 4th gear pull. If not enough boost, shorten rod 1/2 turn and repeat. Your question kinda indicates you might not have a boost gauge? If you've got a boost gauge, the above be easy. Also put your location in your profile and fill in your signature with a short list of your setup. |
samnavy, your right, I have updated my profile. So it's just shorten it and test, it will give me something to do this weekend.
