Default 1.6l to 1.8l kit questions

I have yet to buy a Miata, but have been shopping (and building a Miata based Locost).

I have a 1.8L from the donor for my Locost, and considered getting a car that has the 1.6 and a Greddy kit with some additional bits. Is it possible to swap the motors? It seems that the Greddy kits currently for sale at different spots are all for the 1.6. I know this is a newb question, but I promise to contribute much in return for the help! I did do a search, but there wasn't anything specific.

Thanks in advance for the help.

1.6's and 1.8's are different lengths so manifolds are not interchangable

Intake, exhaust, or both? If that is the case and it is the exhaust manifold you are speaking of, can you purchase a 1.8L manifold like the HKS or Ebay specials and then use the remaining bits of the Greddy?

If it is the intake side, can the 1.8l manifold and throttle body be used and just mate the piping from the kit to it?

Thanks for the help!
