What gets bent where and how much lube for this 3" to fit...
Trackspeed kit and DP into a Mazdaspeed. I cant see how this is going to fit with out hitting everything. Any pics out there on how you made it clear brake lines and coolant lines. This is a MazdaSpeed and I'm not sure if the ABS and brake lines are same as other NBs. Pics worth a 1000 words.

It’s all fairly similar. You’ll want to heat shield that brake line, and bend the heater core line towards the back of the car.

I also had to trim a bit of that panel back for my downpipe to fit.

Yeah it's not a good fit for sure. Everything got beat with a hammer on my MSM.. The pipe, the firewall, that shelf. It runs too close to the engine block/tranny. It runs too close to the firewall. It needs clearance for the bumps and such that the engine mounts will allow.

3" of shit in a 2.25" bag. Mine still hits on long right hand turns.

Well its in. The MSM heater hard line fought me a but but some heat and it moved. The brake lines I bent a lot already and now sit 1/2 from downpipe, not ideal. I guess I have to bend them some more, cross fingers the dont break.

Heater outlet pipe just needs to be bent backwards, it's easier if you remove it and bend it slowly in a vise.
Shift the prop valve towards the driver's side of the car, that will pull the brake lines much further away than just bending them. This is only for NB ABS cars with the prop valve under the master, the NAs with the prop valve next to the master don't have any issues and all non-ABS cars are fine as well. Roughly 1 in 3 cars needs to take a trim off the package shelf, it's about 10 seconds with a flap wheel on a grinder to get the needed clearance (if you need to do it at all). There is a ton of variance from Mazda in this area of the car, particularly in the footwell area. Most cars need zero modification, others need more than I would like. |

Throw a little reflective heat wrap on it. I have never seen any issues arise from that line.
