I really doubt it. In my experience the power delivery is completely different. I had a good DP on both my setups and used the same MBC, so a pretty close comparison. My "data" is all subjective so take my OPINION for what it's worth. I'll stand by what I said, the gt2554r is a better turbo for the 1.6 if you are interested in spool with autocross in mind.

Did you carry over the same actuator?

i was considering swapping in my new motor with 99 head before the dyno day but i'm really curious what it can do on a straight up beat ass 94 motor at 15psi

it would be interesting to see because everyone says it's the best turbo out there for under 250whp but i've never even seen a dyno close to that mark

Excuse me? I said I was no expert. I never injected any personal experience either as I don't have any. I even said that what I was saying was common knowledge which you seem to agree with. Why are you attacking me? I wasn't being disrespectful to you or anybody else. You have offended me.

EDIT: Oh, you're Canadian. I understand now.

Nope. I used a helper spring on the greddy actuator, it held 9psi with with out the mbc. The actuator on the gt2554r I made adjustable and it held approximately the same amount according to the boost gauge.

ALL things being equal except the turbo itself, I'd wager a lot of money that the gt2554r is a faster spooling turbo.

You can have an opinion when you either 1)Install a turbo on your own car. or 2)Become Canadian.
