Will Tony's DP bolt up to stock exhaust?

Hey guys,

I am debating installing the Greddy with the stock DP and having a new bung welded on for the WB

Or just getting the Tony DP now.

Does the Tony DP have 2 o2 bungs on it? and will it bolt right up to the TD04 and the stock exhaust?

Thanks

The Tony downpipe will bolt up directly to the Greddy TD04H, and to the stock catalytic converter in the stock location. That's the whole point of the system. You may not see a very dramatic performance gain doing this however so long as the stock catalytic converter and stock exhaust are in place, as there will be a sharp transition in size. Tony can also provide you with a bolt-on catalytic converter that has a full 2.5" in and out. So far as I'm aware he is the only vendor offering this as a standard product.

Since they're made to order, Tony will probably do any combination of sensor bungs you want. The "standard" unit has one sensor bung in approximately the stock location. When I had my pipe made however I asked him not to do any, as I wanted to be able to determine the locations of the various fittings (NB, WB, EGT) after trial-fitting the pipe onto the car. Once I'd done this I pre-drilled the holes, took the pipes to a local independent exhaust shop, gave the owner of the shop $20 and he welded the fittings on.

To finally get my Tony DP installed with out rattling against the subframe I had to shorten the upper half of the pip about 3/4". Doing that move the bottom half up and forward leaving plenty of clearnance. Was a PITA but is working well now.

Spool is awesome now, even with 2 1/4" exhaust.

i had the same problem forever, under like heavy load it would rattle so much against my subframe, but i finally installed the pipe clamp and made a little bracket to attach to the stock tranny bracket thing.

Somebody should talk to Tony and have him tweak his jig a bit. I am to lazy to do this however. :)
