Jeez how many cars did Emilio drive?? I know he drove Crusher, I'm sure he drove Super since it's the other 949-owned car, and that's him getting in or out of Kitty.

That was so disappointing, but what can you do? Take a look at the laptimes @ MyLaps and you will see exactly what I mean. The drivers were doing so well and the mechanics were really kicking ***, but its always something you can't control that seems to come up and bite you in the ***. Things can only take so much abuse before they just break. 25 hours @ or near WOT will definitely do that.

I suspect contact sometime over night initiated the crack where the upper A-arm attaches to the subframe. several hours later and some fatigue cycles and the upper A-arm attacheme ripped out of the subframe in the morning. I think we dropped from 3rd to 8th with that and got back up to 6th. still not bad in a tight 25 car E3 field. Super wasn't quite as Quick as Kitty. It was kind of put together on short notice, no VVT and not quite the same level of development and testing It was still one of the quicker cars on the grid however.
I may have been one of the slower drivers but I will take credit for zero contac and keeping all tires on the track for my stints in Nemo and Super.

That one was partially my fault. I got a run on an E30 exiting T9 on his left side, got maybe 1-2 lengths in front then crossed back to the turn in point on the right for T10. Braked maybe 2 lengths earlier than usual, rolled off the brakes over the crest, turned in, got to about mid track when WHAM, the e30 tags me in the LR corner, snap spinning me clockwise into the embankment. I don't think he did it intentionally. My guess is he just way overcooked the turn and used Kitty' backside as a berm. I should have been even more conservative.
Real bummer as Kitty was fast enough to win E3. For the rest of race I opened my "return to turn in point" overlap requirement from 2 lengths to about 10 lengths to make damn sure I didn't get taken out again by someone overcooking their braking point.

My main job was to never leave the team hanging for parts and locate where anything was hidden. 4 cars, 3 owners, LOTS of variances between the them all.
The second part was to manage the wheels and tires throughout the race. We had over 100 tires.
I stayed in my "cave" at the ready.
