2016 Maxxis Cup - Supermiata Supermiata is proud to announce an expanded partnership with Maxxis Tires for 2016. The Maxxis RC-1 has been the official spec tire of the series since 2014, our first year. For 2016 we add new programs to entice racers to join us for the most affordable racing in the southwest. New driver program Beginning with the May 14-15 event at Streets of Willow, all drivers new to Supermiata will receive a free set of Maxxis 225/45/15 RC-1 tires when they register and attend their 3rd complete race weekend. That's right, free tires just for showing up! Legacy driver program At the end of the year, we will award each of the 5 drivers with the most races completed with a free set of Maxxis 225/45/15 RC-1 tires. Race a lot, get some tires! https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1461948516 Welcome to Maxxis RC-1 | Maxxis Victra RC-1 ------------------------------------------------ Winding Road Racing contingency Many club racers are now familiar with the great contingency program WR offers for other racing organizations. We came up with a modified program just for Supermiata designed to "spread the love" around even better. We have a bucket full of $50 Winding Road Certificates to award to drivers. Each podium spot, 1st, 2nd, 3rd will earn the same $50 certificate. Drivers can win a maximum of one per day. Since we race twice a day, if the same driver earns a prize in the 2nd race, that prize kicks down to the next spot. This means the drivers that just miss the podium can earn prizes too. https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1461948516 Winding Road | Home -------------------------------------------- Learn more about Supermiata SuperMiata | Supermiata wheel to wheel racing series Getting started in SuperMiata |

I wish we could have this on the East coast. Theres enough PT* Miatas that it could work.

This is awesome news for Supermiata !
Working for our guys here too with Miata Cup Challenge in the North East (Quebec and Ontario for 2016) but we're talking to have an event in the US for 2017.. |
WOW. Big kudos to Maxxis for stepping up!!
I can't run SuperMiata as all the events are 3000 miles away, but this does make me want to continue to support Maxxis. |

RE: pics
Images inline linked from wordpress site. Displays on my desktop and laptop but not my phone. Uploaded images to MT server directly. Should display on all devices now. RE: Supermiata We brainstormed for quite a while to come up with a package that is focused on getting new drivers into the series. Second priority is rewarding participation in the current series, thus the payouts all being the same denomination. The daily limit means that drivers who are likely to visit the podium twice in one day initiate the hand off to the place behind them. That means the drivers that missed the podium entirely will get the same prize. Year end, the drivers that participate the most get a free set of tires. So it's not focused on the drivers that win as much as it is the drivers that show up a lot. The 949 sponsored BBQ Saturday night is a fixture of course. |
This is so good, well done guys. Makes me want to pack up shop and move to CA. Glad to see Maxxis getting so involved too.

Hey man, don't need to tell me about it... I relocated across the globe to do what I love, pretty sure you can pull off a move within the same country ;)
Don't need a passport AND there's land between the origin and the destination! To bring this back to the topic, this is a fantastic sponsorship deal. Congrats and big thumbs up to everyone involved! |
As they say down here in NZ, sweet as! This is awesome.
I just need 8 years for the kids to fly the coop ... |
you need a east coast event. i would love to play along.

Ditto. Please come out east. I'll cage my TTD car and stop borrowing a Spec Miata. Right now I race where the fields are.

Additions to the current program:
Superbucks To enable our drivers to choose between discounts and Winding Road Racing or new Maxxis RC-1's to race on, we have instituted a "1st Bank of Supermiata". This will allow drivers to convert mutliple smaller awards in to on larger certificate to apply towards tires from Maxxis or gear from WRR. The Supermiata facebook group will host a spreadsheet displaying all the awards each driver has earned and a tally so they can keep track. $20 rebate per tire Effective May 1st, 2016, all drivers that have registered for a Supermiata race during 2016 can apply for a rebate for any Maxxis 225/45/15 RC-1's purchased under their name. Drivers must email a copy of their purchase receipt to emilio@949racing.com Receipts for other Maxxis tires, before May 1, 2016 or from drivers outside of the series will not be rebated. |
