9" or 9.5" for 245s?

Whats the general consensus?

Im looking to run 245 Hoosiers.

Also whats the most economical and lightest option to accomodate them?

30mm Autokonexion fenders only come in fiberglass and Im wondering if they are heavier than stock?
Would like carbon if its not too crazy.

10s

18psi 09-16-2015 12:50 PM

run 10's?
I can't think of a 9.5 that's good, maybe I'm having a senior moment.
plenty of really good 9's and 10's wheels

concealer404 09-16-2015 12:50 PM

10s

10s are a little harder to find but ok then.

What about fenders?

Looking for a light, aerodynamic and hopefully a cost effective option.

If you have an NB, you don't need them. 245/40-15 RC1s on 15x10s fit under stock bodywork with a fender roller.

Thanks for the heads up.

I have an NA though....

Ah ok. You're probably looking at Autokonexion style flares. I wouldn't mess with full on overfenders. Or really anything from Autokonexion at all at this point.

There was a dude on here that used to sell Tuckin99 knockoffs. Those would be cool.

JSpeed6 09-16-2015 07:05 PM

245 rc1s will fit under a NA with 9", but if you're going to run the purple crack, 10s.

d k 09-16-2015 07:29 PM

So 10" it is.

Now onto the fenders.

Whats my option besides oem?

Autokonexion, what else?

Or best to go w oem fender and flares/pull?

concealer404 09-17-2015 09:28 AM

OEM fender with flares and cut.

And the answer to your question in your sig is "Honmo."

Question for the group. What offset do the 10s have to be in order to fit under the NB fenders with a roll and pull (no cutting). I currently have a 245/40-15x9 +36 6UL all around and it doesn't rub.

Also what wheels? The 10" UL is gone, the 10" Jongbloed is too low offset (IIRC +15) and I can't fnd 10" advantis anywhere

I think the NB fits fine in the front and requires a little pull in the rear.

Must verify..

et 25 will work best with 10's and 245. I usually run 5mm spacers however to make them et 20 because that is what is needed for 275's

Obviously you need some serious fender pulling at that point?

I can't remember your plans from the other thread... is this a W2W race car or just a fun track day/time trials car? If a w2w car, I would stay away from any of the autokonexion aero fenders. Wait time for parts from autokonexion can be very long and inconsistent. If you're racing and banging fenders every now and then, you could end up missing half the season while waiting for replacement panels. I would just cut the stock fenders and bolt on a cheap set of flares.

d k 09-17-2015 11:15 PM

Yea, its a w2w car ST3 to be exact.

Thanks for the info
