Pics from Saturday at Road Atlanta.

We ran a 1:43.9 during the second to last session. We're down a fair amount of whp to Flier129s car as evidenced by top speed on our lap vs. his track record lap (117mph vs. 121mph). Of course some of it could be corner exit speeds but anyway, no way the car currently makes 137 like Fliers car and not even close to the TTE/PTE allowed 143whp.

Need to find the missing horsepowers now, that and a 4.88 rear. The rest of the car is pretty much there.

We drank some good IPAs (thanks to Allen) at the end of the day but had no glasses. Poverty beer steins were fabricated.

All other MT.net bros were beaten by the Sentra...for shame.

Whoever gave that first pee sample really needs to see a doctor. The 2nd guy needs to drink a lot more water.

I swear, if I wasn't on my provisional I'd have given you a run for your money.... now off to find more whp for my car too.

That Sentra is legit fast, wow. And 1:43 is booking it, good stuff!

I held the lead for the first two sessions of Sunday with a 1:24.606 to my buddies 1:24.642, but then he pulled out this hero lap at 1:24.305. Absolutely railed it. He does make 143whp to my 136whp, but RRs vs SM7s (both 205 on 9's) so I can't even complain anymore. By then my SM7's were getting up to HC 8/9 and whether it was in my head or they were falling off I could only get back down to 1:24.9. Was a lot of fun actually being in the hunt, now it's time to focus on the details. I think I'm gonna add ballast considering I weighed in at 2439 with an almost full tank (one session, so ~2gal lower than full) and then go corner balance. Car felt great though, it's nice coming out of corners and yanking other Miata's in.

My buddies lap, mine didn't record b/c GoPro can't even hold charge a full 20 minutes anymore.

I'm bummed about Rensel's(Sentra driver) wreck on Saturday afternoon. We we're just making plans about running PTE later on this year

1:43.9 is moving, especially considering the guesstimation of horse-pressures. Bummed I missed this even, conditions we're good to aim for the optimal time of 1:41.7xx according to my solo data #shittalking #doesntcountwasntthere. It was a great time this weekend, I'm glad TTE is still growing even in it's last year!

*non PTE/TTE content* So that S2K in TT4 is a buddy of mine, 215rwhp peak, 204 avg, 2680lbs, 225/45/17 A7 on 10s, front splitter, 2d rear wing, fast driver.

Listening to S2k's at full tilt makes me sad I ever got into Miata's...

Big Bend, yep. You get a light brush of the brakes, but then have to send it. Anything more and you're losing time. The corner opens up and there's a crap load of smooth run off though, SM's were going off and staying FLATOUT until they re-joined the track.

When you spent a whole session getting held up by a TT2 Z/28 and resolve to not let it happen again...

Just signed up for Nats, Champs, whatever we're calling it. Who's making the trek? Despite CoTA being in my backyard that will be my first event there, I'm not doing our regional or DE's due to cost, hoping iRacing will suffice.

I would love to! But I don't think it's in the "budget" for this year. I could swing the travel expenses or the entry fee, but not both

I'll likely be there if it's a championship class.

Oh, and I finally popped the head off my ole BP05. I don't know much of anything about motors, but looks like the guess that I was roasting my oil and killed my rings was spot on? The oil residue is flakey and wipes right off. Hopefully the BP4W avoids the same fate having an oil cooler.

Don't skimp on safety gear.

My neck is a little sore and that's all.
