Android lap timer app
Check this out. Supposedly only $5.
http://trackmaster.trackaroo.com/welcome Record the following track data: position, speed, acceleration, altitude, bearing, absolute time, split times, elapsed times, and lap times. Record your track data using multiple trigger modes: immediate, by movement, delayed, or by first split marker. View your lap times and split times with graphical analysis on your phone. Calculates your best theoretical lap time and best rolling lap time. Replay your track data instantly on your phone. Share your track data via email, web posting, or Twitter. Send your data to Google Earth for desktop replay, analysis, and editing. Send your data as a spreadsheet for analysis in MS Excel or Open Office. Enable speech to have your speed and times spoken to you while you're racing. This works great for motorcycle racers using a stereo bluetooth headset. Provide real-time lap times and speed to your fans via Twitter. Supports metric and English units. Supports external bluetooth GPS receivers (via add-on). Download custom layouts or create your own. I am about to buy an Android and will be getting this app for sure. I already have a 5 Hz bluetooth GPS. I wonder if the HTC Evo 4G will be able to run this app and record hi-res video at the same time... |
spoolin2bars is using that program

Really? I'll have to ask John how he likes it.
|
Someone get him to post up a review. I'm looking forward to trying it vs my MaxQdata setup.
|
When it works it works really well. I think he had problems with it a MSRC
|
I paged John and pointed him to this thread.

Sorry to sound like a moron again, but are you guys talking about an ap for the new Verizon Droid? We are getting ready to start phone shopping once our crappy sprint contract is up. Worst carrier...... EVER

Guess MT.net just gave Verizon 3 new customers!
|
I do not see why it would not run on the Verizon Droid, though I am getting the HTC Evo 4G for Sprint.
|
I have it on a Droid. Worked for just giving me overall car speed. Haven't tested it in real use though.
|
I have it on my droid. Have yet to actually try it out though.

Got just now....it was $7

Though it is tempting, let's NOT jack this into a Verizon versus Sprint versus whoever thread.

So...im having a problem with the app....It's illing my battery because it's constantly searching for GPS signal and I know my GPS works because my google maps works fine. Any ideas here guys?

i've posted about this in 3 diff. threads over the past 6mos.
basically, it works great. you can set your own split markers, and start/finish line. it uses google earth to pull up a view of the track and then shows your car going around the track with mph, altitude, split time, lap time, etc.. shows accel in green, braking in red, and coasting as a blue line. you can send a logged file to google earth and look at your lines, zoom-in and whatever. i like to glance at the screen when i'm on the track to see if i'm faster or slower than the previous lap. helps when trying new lines etc. i don't pay attention to the time listed, only if the sector or lap time is green (faster) or red (slower). also, since my speedometer is broken, i can see what speeds i'm coming into or out of corners. i did have a problem with gps interference at msr-c though. i don't know what was up over there, but there were huge power line towers right by the track. maybe that affected it. for the money it's way worth it. i would contact trackmaster before you decide on a phone. a friend got an android phone and it didn't work with his. also, the developer has always answered my questions or when i had issues, beyond fast. totally happy with the app. i really only bought my phone to run this app. it's like a budget traqmate. |
