The grammar is so bad that the only sense I could really make of it was "if you can see this image, you have been visited by the ghost of poverty"

Still laughing.

Today we learn about Google Image Search.

You can search google with that image as an input instead of some words.

I have no idea if this link will work the way I think it will.

Manténgase fantasma pobreza segura.

From what i understand, all these eagle/scat ect "H beam" rods are made in the same factory overseas. I have heard that even Manley rods are made in the same factory but to different standards.

Wow, I thought that this was locked.

Just didn't want to overspend on something that wasn't the weakest link. If the eagle/scat/e-bay rods will do, then I'll be happy not to waste $ on overbuilding with carrillo.

I doubt $ spent on lighter rods would give much performance bang-for-the-buck for a turbo motor, or a motor with such a low rev limit.

I think that on a road course, spun rod bearings are usually due to downshifting abuse. But, could also could be due to detonation loading.or oil pressure losses with cornering.

Anyone have a story?

Detonation bends rods or melts pistons. If you spin a rod bearing, you ran the motor low on oil or overrevved it.

Sorry, I guess I'm more familiar with V-8 racemotors. In a SBC, timing that exceeds about 38 degrees total will cause too much pounding for the rod bearings to survive on a road course; great for sprints and drags though. It sounds like the mazda bearing surface will hold enough load to bend a rod before it fails... that's one tough bearing!

many of our members will hold enough load to bend a rod too

He speaks from experience.

I did a lot of searching for this once upon a time and was able to feel pretty confident about the evidence I found. I posted this in vlads build thread too but if you'd like some peace of mind

They appear to all be the same rods. Eagle, Belfab, M-tuned, ebay stuff....

CRS-5230 is the product code stamped on all of them.

Based upon the first couple of posts, I purchased a set last Monday.

Q: Are any of you adjusting the bearing clearances for race applications? Or, are you just measuring the crush and applying the standard OEM specs?

Based upon the last couple of posts, I figured Hustler for that visual... not 18 P ...

Yea...Hustler is starting to rub off on some of the other members.....

lolz

I just used plastic gage and kept it on the more clearence end of the stock specs.
