Default Burned Clutch

Well I had my first race of the season this weekend in Autocross. I would have went well though I didn't think about of thing. CLUTCH. I've been running a ex stage 1 for months now, but on track day, I set my boost a little to high, plus ran dot Hoosiers. Bad combo. Ended up burning up the clutch three laps in!! LOL So what does everyone thing I should run for my next? Well I mean what type? Brand?

cheap=ebay 6 puck
best=949racing.com twin disk

either should work fine with plenty of choices in the middle. Whats your budget? If your on the cheap get the f1 racing 9lbs 1.6 flywheel and a ebay 1.6 6puck clutch

I had a cheap ebay 6 puck in my 02 with a BP swap and eventhough I was not turbo it saw a couple autocross events and alot of hole shots on half used track tires(the shop down from my house specializes in spec miatas) and it never gave me an issue. The don't buy an exedy I had two stage 3 and stage 4 and both were total junk stage 3 only made it though about a month of regular driving and a 10 min parking lot thrash before it gave up.

I don't know my ebay clutch lasted two seasons of autox. It started slipping pretty bad, it was supposed to be stage 2 but I don't think it was. If you don't plan on 150+ whp ebay would be ok otherwise get something else.

Many of us on here are running ACT clutches. They have a bunch of different setups for various torque levels. They aren't the cheapest clutch available, but why cheap out on the one thing that is connecting the power you are making to the rear wheels?

+1 on ACT. Install it, forget about it. That is worth a little extra money IMO.

Based on something I heard recently I would personally not get the FM clutch. Don't ask me why because I do not care to comment.
