Default extremely high iats on track

A couple of days ago I was at a japanese car only meeting at a track, great day, it was awersome, and I did 3 rounds of two hours each, long story short I fried the toyota coils (again) and to solve the full boost missfire I gapped the plugs around 0.02" (0.6mm) with a cutter blade as a spacer, but the iat was extremely high, around 50-60 degrees over the ambient at the end of the straight (end of fifth gear on 6 spd and 3.636).
I never saw such increase on track, surely it was hot, over 30 degrees celsius, but I never saw anything similar this winter
I dynoed the same day to see what power I lost, the configuration was: 8 degrees on the entire raw (just to lower the power on track), toyota cops, efr 6758 at 1.4 bar (20 psi, it's allofit with the medium boost actuator), trackspeed manifold and full 3" exhaust. It did 330hp on a dynojet, a little bit disappointing (virtual dyno said 370 this winter) but it's hot here now.
The fmic is an ebay one I bought when I had in mind 200hp with a stock motor, now I'm built and I'm running allofit, can it be a restriction? It's rated to 350hp, should I put a taller one?
the core is 550 x 140 x 65 (22 x 5.5 x 2.5)
I've got all the hot side with 2" pipe, there was a 100 degree bend at the exit of the compressor, but all the rest is less than 40 degrees. Should I run 2.5 all the way?
Also I popped the hot side pipe a couple of times during the straight, so the pressure drop is significant, maybe the ic is simply inadeguate for that kind of power?

I tried to run wastegate only (0.6 bar / 8-9 psi) and the iat are just a couple degrees over the ambient

what should I do?

I think it's pretty obvious you maxed out your ebay intercooler.
When ebay says "350 hp", in reality it's closer to 250.
You need an fm intercooler or equivalent to your goals.

Like, a 450hp core? I don't know hot tall it must be.. Let's see how much space I have now

Yes you are likely at the limit of your heat exchanger. Probably ok on street, but not track.
Look into the large fab9 vibrant or a large spearco or treadstone core.

I have been totally underwhelmed with the Treadstone core I've been using in my car over the last couple of months. Way higher IATs and way more pressure drop than I was expecting. I would go buy a Precision 350hp.

It worked very well on G's car, dunno. I'll re-check the logs for his IAT's when I have a chance.
Precision 350 is likely better, but he's already at 350chp and will likely keep turning it up, I think it will be a restriction at this point.

I'm looking at a Precision 600 to replace my Begi #3. Merely on Highway I notice IAT's steadily rising under load. My car has always been weird with heating, I may replace the condenser or ditch all together. But I feel as though if I'm modifying a bumper and trying to keep A/C, I'd rather look at the Precision stuff and custom mount it than a vibrant intercooler.

How much do they rise? What is your ducting like?

Yes, the precision seems the best fmic for the price I can buy, but they don't have anything in the 350-600 hp range, and the 600hp one has, well... 31 1/2" lenght
it's nearly impossible to fit without remove the condenser and the ps oil cooler
the precision 350hp is way bigger than mine (strange, ah?), would you run it with a "simple" 400hp goal in mind?

this is just to clarify why there are just a few fellows in italy:
precision 350hp: 305$
shipment in italy: 160$ (total 465$)
customs: 3% on total (now we are at 479$)
italian VAT on total: 22%
so a 350 precision fmic costs to me 584$
not double, but we are here...

to compare an ebay fmic: mine costs around 90€ shipped from england, so without customs and including VAT

I'll have to log to check now that it's warmer out. Have to actually sit down with some cardboard and start planning ducting, currently I only have the LRB speed under pan/splash guard which has the sides mounted to the frame, but still some gap between the condenser/radiator. Passenger side has been most daunting but I hop to pull the fenders and bumper off someday and will try to tackle this. Or make the decision to ditch A/C. But it gets so hot. :(

Sorry it done sold It's sitting on a shelf in @aidandj's garage next to some giant silly VNT or holset IIRC? Some sort of silliness at any rate.

Sadly the holset is gone. It was an hx35, I need an hx30. Still hunting. Latest crazy idea is an evo td05 with twinscroll.

If I didn't track my car I would already have my buddies he351.VGT ftw. Just not on a track car.

Do you pay VAT if it looks like a used part? We could make one dirty and bend some fins for you and then ship it if that helps. You would just need to clean it and straighten a few fins to be perfect again.

I pay Vat based on declared value...

I just checked the pressure drop across the intercooler: at 7000 rpm: map 220kpa, after the compressor: 275 kpaI'm not sure, but I think that the ic is out of spec
I think

That's a huge drop. Increase efficiency or size.
