Flipping an NB to manual steering rack

Hi guys,
really want to do this, happy to change the subframe to suit the na manual rack BUT, what am I loosing in the way of benefit from the NB suspension geometry?
also, as the car is considerably lower than standard, will I avoid the bumpsteer issues introduced by mixing na rack with NB hubs?
has anybody done this change?

cheers guys!

Why not just de-power your rack?

There also was an NB manual rack available. Would definitely depower or pay the premium for an NB manual rack before swapping in an NA subframe and all the work that would require.

Use NB stuff. NA people upgrade to NB stuff. Vice versa never happens without a mental deficiency.

Yep, going from nb to na stuff is dumb. Just depower your rack, I did mine in a few hours this weekend

As stated, there's no good reason to change to an NA rack. There are NB manual racks out there, though they are scarce. De-powering your existing rack (properly, not just looping the lines) is the easier option. There's a slight difference in ratios between manual and powered racks.

The only other reason to care between true manual vs depowered is if you're chasing ounces. From my notes I have:

NB P/S Rack w/ tie rods, dry, no ends 13.6 lbs
NA Manual Rack w/ tie rods, dry, no ends 10.3 lbs

I haven't found an NB manual rack yet but I expect it to be closer to the weight of the NA Manual than the NB Powered.

Going from an NB rack to an NA rack is an incredibly bad idea.

That’s great, thanks guys!
I’ll not get dumb and I’ll avoid mental deficiencies! Lol

thanks for your guidance.
