the gasket on my turbo return is damaged.
I really want to get the turbo back in tonight but I dont have a replacement gasket. if i can the surface do you think high temp RTV will be ok? or perhaps a piece of copper and rtv? what should I do? perhaps a common gasket I could use? auto parts closes in an hour...

Which gasket? What turbo? The kit I got from Begi for my oil return uses some easy-to-find gasket material between the turbo and the little block the AN fitting screws into. I forget the part number, but it's gray and I got it at Napa but have since seen it at other auto parts places.

Yeah which gasket are you talking about?
I don't use gaskets anymore. They always end up blowing out anyways. |

I have been using the copper RTV for the oil drain line off the turbo all of last season. I do not have any leaks there.

I ended up buying the gasket material at advanced auto and it worked out great. I ended up using a paper hole punch to make all the holes and it worked good.

Did you buy that large package of gray "rubber" gasket material? It seems to work well for me.

yeah, that is what I did. I'll throw it in the track box and perhaps i can help someone else
