Hi,

Anyone know of a vendor that sells gearbox and diff Drain/Fill plugs predrilled for lock wire? I have tried to drill them myself, including using a fixture, but kept breaking the fine drill bits.

You using a hand drill or a press?

Use a press if you have access to one, stops the slight sideways movement that's inevitable with a hand drill and snaps small bits.

You can get little benchtop press things that hold a dremel which do ok on softer metals.



Otherwise, take the bolts to your nearest machine shop, or even high school with a shop.
They'll probably be happy to drill them for you for a few beers.
