Without knowing much about the TA world, what are the cars/teams that are likely be be the biggest competitors to Vegas?

There doesn't appear to be solid challenger in the URWD field from what we can tell. Bunch of cars capable of 1:42~1:46 but nothing that appears to be capable of a 1:40. If it doesn't break, we should have a good shot at the URWD win. Our lbs/hp is too weak to reach the URWD lap record though. Crazy to think a 420whp, 2400 lb Miata is too weak. That's modern time attack!
We did a 1:44.7 with 6 heat cycle 245 A7's, 280whp. 2350# and a balky 6 spd and way too soft springs and sway bars. We have another ~500lbs of downforce, 420whp with a much broader torque curve, the correct spring and sway bar rates, the sequential trans and fresh 275/205 Hoosiers.
At 4000rpm we have almost 200 lbs more torque than last year.

3 cars in UAWD that should go under 1:40, one of which should reset the overall lap record for the track. I'm guessing TomO will do a 1:35
The PZ Tuning Civic would easily win UFWD but I don't see it entered. So we could end up maybe 3rd fastest overall. We will give it our best shot.

The PZ Tuning Civic got shipped to Japan after WTAC. They are running the Attack! series at Tsukuba in February so they're definitely not showing up at Buttonwillow tomorrow.

Bullet ran a high 44 at SLB.

We ran out of 1:44.6 two weeks later with the same car, older tires and stiffer Springs.

Virtually every comment you have made here and on Facebook have been to discredit or devalue the car. Don't feel threatened of your position at the top of the crazy Miata aero hierarchy Moti. I would suggest however, spending a little more energy to have a running car more often.

You assholes made me sign back into instagram to watch all the updates. Car looks super strong! Can you guys do some live video from the event? Maybe even strap a phone inside on live video? Would be super awesome, thanks.

To be fair he was just making a correction that the car went faster at SLB than Dan originally thought... official results show 1:44.9 as well as the lap video posted on the Supermiata YouTube channel.

You got it totally backwards my friend, virtually none of the comments that I made here or anywhere else was made in order to discredit your build, and all of which are made out of my shear concern for your well being... That you choose to get so touchy, defensive and can't take a pretty basic joke (on FB) is pretty disappointing, TBH.

Not sure what ticks you off, but let's take a look at my commentary -
* I advised you guys to revise the brackets that held the diffuser up along with sound reasoning as to why, simply because I don't want see you destroying your diffuser because they failed, and / or potentially creates a situation on track.
* I voiced a genuine concern over the wing uprights in case they are 1/4" thick. I definitely don't want to see you or anyone else having a massive crash because of a wing failure, especially at the speeds that Vegas is capable of. Again, all with sound reasoning.
* Dan mentioned Bullet ran a 46 at SLB which I can only assume was an honest mistake on his part, because Bullet won with a high 44, I know because I was there to help you to try and achieve that, but I guess a year is long enough to forget that...

What part of this discredits the build?

I'm honestly concerned about your uprights if they are indeed only 1/4" thick... Let me know if you want something done quick, I have sheets of 5/16", 3/8" and 1/2" in stock, if you send me a CAD file I might be able to get my waterjet guy on this in just enough time for you to pick it up on the way to BRP, I can probably even program this for you if you just gave me some basic measurements, we already have the APR bolt pattern.

We don't have drawings, I don't think there are any. We do have a spare set with Renderos Racing in Hesperia. TC Design made both sets. We are rolling out today around 4pm.

Only option we have is to take them next door to Scarbo and have him cut something quickly. He's got a big water jet, full machine shop (and oh so sexy 5 axis machine).
