I'm really interested to see if you can demotor and fastback glass the hardtop. That will end up looking really neat. You might be able to incorporate the hardtop mounts into the cage. Has anyone built a serious head for one of these yet aka CNC porting etc?
4pt roll bar, not cage. Roof brackets will probably end up being 3d printed nylon-carbon bits which are hella strong in X-Y. Motors and linkage all coming out as is the entire bulkhead structure behind the seats. Roof is plastic as is rear section. Just the short panel right above B pillar is steel. That steel bit has a fairly heavy linkage as its the rear anchor for the main roof panel and front anchor for the rear section. I think we'll be able to pull enough weight out to cancel the weight gain from the roll bar, maybe more.
I imagine someone has gone into a skyactiv 2.0, but I haven't seen anything. We're just dropping in cams and valve springs. All OEM otherwise. No one makes rods or pistons for the ND2 that are lighter than OEM.
Meanwhile the Verus bits showed up. The carbon wing is really nice. Highly cambered but with tiny integrated 3D end plates. Full underbody panels and diffuser along with hood vents.
Got the car back from AeroWerkz today and immediately started tearing into it. Prep for round 1 of MTTC 2025 at WSIR this Saturday. Lots to do. Meanwhile, OMG orange.
Looks great! 30AE is my absolutely favorite ND color, by a long shot, and your ND looks damn near as good! Psyched to see the modifications happening on this car!
Front end apart. AC condenser is pretty hammered so we need to spend some quality fin straightening time. Hacked most of the bumper beam away for weight savings. Kept the minimum structure needed to mount the oil cooler. Stage 1 brakes for now. Proto 13" BBK on the way. CSF radiator going in. Whiteline 24mm front bar with our end links. Proto 28.6mm bar on the way. First event on Tecna Sport to collect some more data. Will swap over to Xida Race for round 2.
Still a ton to do before round 1, four days away.
OS Giken diff, 3.45 auto ring&pinion, OSG extended capacity cover. Proto 14mm rear bar.
Another late night in the shop. Being a small company, we don't have staff dedicated to turning wrenches. It's me, Ed (pictured), Arcangelo (shipping) doing stuff after hours. Anyways, progress!
The lib is a generic PU ebay item. Flexy and weak but the right shape. Splitter isd 10mm alumalite. We'll wrap it in satin black vinyl. Cable stays are HDM (Home Depot Motorsports). Two additional steel straps on outer ends hidden behind bumper. The splitter extend 100mm past the lip and roughly 130mm past nose of bumper. That white thing in the mouth is a deflector to help keep cooling airflow directed into the radiator and not escape over the radiator support.
Proto 330x28mm proto radial mount BBK. Using an F40 pad which is around 4.2" pad volume (big). Prices, specs TBA. But expect it to be very competitively priced with the lowest replacement friction ring cost of any big BBK for the ND. Hoping to be shipping this kit for the ND and NC this summer.
Pictured here on our 17x8 without spacers. Very low profile.
Damn, what an awesome splitter shape/design/execution, and I love that lil wing. Really cool.
We're banking on the flat bottom and diffuser lending enough to create the total rear downforce we'll need to balance the big splitter. If not, we'll have to get creative with end plates or something. It's an ultra low drag wing but has an exceptional L/D ratio.
OTOH, if we end up w/o enough front, we'll add little end plates on the splitter. But I suspect we'll have to run the foil above 0° AOA to get it to balance. We'll find out Sunday.

I like and respect the low L/D ratio setup. It's what I've been targeting for my car with the 9lr street wing and mild front-end aero. That wing looks really cool on the ND though, and perfect for N/A power.
