I want to order a set of rotors for my wilwood calipers
what is a inexpensive quality option for the track.
I have the good-win-racing Type 3 rear 10.75 brake kit rear and the type 1 11 inch front. I think they call this the type 4 but 100% sure since I did not buy the kit. do you guys have a good alternative than what is sold at good win? I would like fronts with directional veins at a reasonable price if possible. perhaps something from DBA or whatever. just thought I would ask for some options. |
I really think $80 a pop is as cheap as they get.
That's the beauty of the TSE kit, both 11 and 11.75. The 11" uses the heavy one piece Corrado rotor, but it's only $30. And the 11.75" kit has great straight veined rotors for $30. |
$80 or $90 is about as reasonable as it gets in the 11" size.

yeah it is not bad at all, but I was hoping to find a suitable replacement for less with out cross drill or slots but I will call and ask. say what you want but I prefer plain rotors.
|
I think most of us do too.
You might try Corrado rotors. TSE's original kit works with them, but FM/goodwin/etc aren't. The only issue is rotor offset. You could either take some measurements or risk $30 on a Corrado rotor and see if you can space the caliper out to center on the rotor. |
well it should be simple enough to change the off set of the caliper. I've done it several times in the past on other cars. my only real issue would be the hats. I would like to know if my hats will fit the Corrado rotors or should I assume the Corrado are a one piece design for oem fitment.
|
Yeah, one piece. It's either $80 replacement ring and a light two piece design, or $30 replacements and a heavier one piece design. The weights all in board anyways, and you get rid of the hardware.

The rotors in our 11.75 kit are $31/ea for straight vane and ~$80 for directional vane IIRC. There are a few companies that sell a directional-vane rotor for less than $80. You don't want to use them. |
