Inconel studs now backing out
For a long time my turbo setup has been fine but now my 10mm inconel studs have started backing out. WHY! lol
first the nuts came loose so i changed them and now the nuts stay tight but the studs are backing out. It is an FM manifold. Is there an extreme high temp locktite available? maybe a need a new set of studs?... I have been thinking of maybe drilling some nuts and lock wiring them. Can you get off the shelf drilled nits? I duno. what do you think? |

There is a whole thread about this.
Resbond + Inconel + Stage 8 = win |
Install studs with Resbond. Allow the Resbond to cure. I put mine in the oven at 250 for 60 min.
If if you are not already using M10 studs, maybe upgrade. |
Who is the maker of your inconel studs?
|
My studs don't back out. Who sold you your studs?
