Default ID this fitting

Found this fitting on a used Setrab I bought from a NASCAR team. It has an o-ring just below the tip and no threads. Looks like some sort of quick connect. Any ideas?

Pics fixed.

I can't quite make out the text which is printed on the fitting, but I assume it to be a part number. What would happen if you were to plug that into Google?

Then your ISP / computer / whatever is blocking embeds from imgur.com

We'll try again, as an attachment:

Thanks Joe.

olderguy, it might be that Oil Seal adapter but I can't find any pics or info about it.

Can't see the pics from work, either. Wonder what the deal is? I can get to imgur.com just fine.

I believe that the "Oil Seal" listed on the page that OG linked to is just the O-ring which goes between the body of the oil cooler itself and one of the other adapters listed on that page.

Another thought occurs to me: Handy Man, you said you bought this from a NASCAR team. That wouldn't happen to have been Joe Gibbs Racing, by any chance?

I ask because that text which I assumed to be a part number starts with JGR. Could this be a fitting which is proprietary to that team? (Do NASCAR teams even do this sort of thing?)

I see what's happening.

The forum converted the links I posted (when editing the original message) to refer to attachments, however these attachments don't exist.

We'll have to see what's causing this.

I can see why a NASCAR team would use them. Easy to release and connect, and easy to visually check if they are tight (unlike AN)... and of course cost is of zero concern to them. I'll just replace them with some -10 AN fittings and call it day.

I think that Sertab uses a straight British pipe thread + washer. I bought my adapter from Pegasus.

I dunno, I think you should keep just one, for kicks. Anyone have a link to them? What is the price?

Nevermind, I'll do the work. This site has all the info you'd need, but no prices:

http://www.mphindy.com/prods/plumbin...ll.htm#catalog

This site shows prices by diameter:

http://www.hrpworld.com/index.cfm?fo...action=product

Looks like a -8 is roughly $60.

its a M22 thread w/ o-ring (
Amazon Amazon
)

Curley, the clamp is $60, but I'd also have to replace the -10AN connectors on my hoses with a wiggins fittings (and I can't find the fittings for sale anywhere). As cool and unique as the wiggins is, its not worth it when I can just buy Setrab -10AN fittings for $10 each and use my existing setup.

If you wan't the wiggins fittings, I'll give them to you
