When I end up too hot in a corner, I blip the brakes and counter-steer like a motherfuxer. Do a few drift days to learn how to control the car in case of an emergency and you will feel much safer.

I was the same way. Then I installed a bunch of LED/alarms to go off it something goes outside my parameters, now I never look at gauges other than RPM once in a while.

I'm actually working on getting to this point now. A single 16x2 LCD connected to the Megasquirt that turns red and lets me know what is out of range, otherwise it doesn't show anything. Computer can check gauges a lot more often than I can.
