Need current status of boundary eng oil pump leaks (maybe 5 year old solved issue)

Gonna order a 1 or 2 shim stage 2 VVT (ITB vvt engine, no external oil accessories) BE pump and saw alot of issues with hard non-OEM crank seal leaks and wrong allen plug threads.

Just getting a feel for what I'll get when i order one today.

Same here - I've got mine (delivered a month ago) and was planning to dig back into that issue before my build. Was going to remove mine and compare with my spare oem, then reseal.

Hopefully this is not too late but here is what I had problems with. I purchased mine back in 2018, but have seen people who have purchased them lately run into the same issues even though boundary claims they have fixed the problem.

My front main seal wasn't even close to OEM dimensions or style and leaked from day 1. The plug also wasn't tapered and leaked as well. I would immediately replace the front main seal and put an OEM plug with some thread tape. I have also seen people have issues with check valves sticking so make sure that is functional.
