If you do the ducting through the radiator correctly, it might give you thrust ala P-51!

Bonneville anyone?

For now just the wheel. When I can make the Quaife sequential happen, then we'll add the fap paddles.

Nice! I did a rear mount radiator on our shop crx. The EF chassis doesn't have much room for turbo/manifold up front. I was getting air from under the spare tire well and exits where the vertical glass was on the back of the hatch. Worked great. I think almost the entire field of Formula Drift is running rear mounted radiators these days.

What class could this race in? Or, more for rides?

STU, ST1 I'd guess. Yeah, definitely built just to scare the shit out of people (including me).

aidandj Jan 22, 2016 02:33 PM

Very cool. Hope it sticks around for MRLS next year, I want a ride :)

Where is the entry air coming from, just under the car or is there a more special plan...(sorry if i missed it, i haven't been backwards to refresh).

Duct on top, between seats.
Trans, diff coolers will probably get smaller ducts outboard of the seats.

aidandj Jan 22, 2016 04:38 PM

Excited to see trans/diff coolers happen,

Leafy Jan 23, 2016 02:18 PM

Where's the duct between the seats getting the air from? top of the hard top? Its a zone of basically useless for anything by breathing air in the cockpit area with the top off, dont know what its like with the top on, but there's probably not much flow and medium pressure at best.

When contemplating the OGK, you must first clear you mind of what you think you know. There is no spoon.

So, does this mean you'll be buying Moti's wing off creampuff?

ThePass Jan 24, 2016 01:54 PM

^ Still thinking too much within the realm of "normal" Miata ;)

The wing was sold about 5 hours after I posted it.
Emilio's car is getting an APR GT-1000 wing.
Ryan put it real nice, there is no spoon.
