oil cooler brackets

I bought a setrab 13 row oil cooler and installed it today with metal brackets I made. Do I need to add rubber washers in between the brackets and the cooler or can I just bolt it in to the brackets. The brackets are pretty stout 3/16" steel.

I don't think you need rubber washers. You should use all four mounting points on the cooler, though, not just the bottom two.

I used the top 2 mounting points. The cooler came with instructions saying that you only need 2 mounting points for a cooler of less than 25 rows. Mine is a 13 row setrab. It feels sturdy I don't have much room for additional brackets

The Setrab bracket has an integrated rubber pad.

I didn't use the Setrab bracket, just mounted it directly to the actual cooler. Would that be a problem?

I bought some rubber vibration isolating mat and sandwiched it between my homemade mounts.

^ That's what I was thinking of doing, only needs to be enough to give it a little wiggle room.
