Pedal Box - Tilton or Willwood?

We're making progress with our NA 3UZ dry sumped build. Engine mocked up in place, Seat floor dropped and mocked up. Rollcage tacked up ready for final weld and the next step is choosing and fitting a pedal box.

Does anyone have any preference and reasoning behind Tilton versus Willwood?

Tilton top mount 600 series versus Willwood Swing mount. Adding a drive-by wire throttle pedal as we progress.

I doubt it matters but we will be swapping over from the current car our Willwood Dynapro and 11.75" rotors with no booster (UNREAL brake setup!).

FWIW, I have a Wilwood swing mount pedal assembly in my RX7 and it sucks. The ONLY reason I went with the Wilwood is because I needed the additional pedal ratio for my clutch setup that you can't get in a floor mount box. It has a ton of play in it, no pedal stops, the balance bar is difficult to adjust (thread tolerances), and every single Wilwood brand master cylinder I have used on it has required grinding to fit - and even then, takes forever to install because there's virtually no space to get a wrench on the nut. Never again.

Holy shit, I'm glad I asked!

Thank you. Tilton it is :)

I'm putting in a Tilton 600 Series overhung #72-608. It's a nice piece, haven't had a chance to actually use it yet but the reason I went with Tilton instead of Wilwood is because of things like Supe mentioned. It seems like everything they make is done as cheaply as possible and quality control isn't the greatest. Look at pro level motorsports and Tilton products are everywhere, even in factory built racecars.

Tilton 600 top swing in our endurance build too. Using their throttle pedal, there is no room for their bias adjuster. So I have to adjust bias in the paddock by crawling under there. We're also boosterless, 1/2 and 5/8 masters IIRC.

Is there any issue with the steering column and the tilton overhung pedal boxes? I was looking at it a while ago and though the it wouldn't really allow for the brake and clutch pedal to sit right on a RHD model? (I hope I'm wrong)

In my RX7, it was tough even snaking the shaft from an aftermarket race column through the Wilwoods. I had to go between the pedals below the masters.

I cut out the steering column mounts and just made my own. To get the pedals so they don't sit wonky, you definitely need to
