These Konis are off the race car I have been buying parts off.

Does anyone have any experiance or knowledge of this model?

Are they any good? Are there much better options than these etc....

They have come up for a reasonable price and I am tempted, I am broke/poor now but still tempted.....

Currently running a taiwanese brand HSD with 9kg front and 6 kg rear and to be honest have found them to be very good. No issues with handling and I am getting in to respectable times. Learning to push the semi slick tyres is my current limiation, not suspension...

BUT knowing these Konis performed at a much higher level (lap time wise) is making hard to decide what to do....

Koni 8000 Series.

Indepenta rebound and compression adjustable. It's one of thier better shocks.

Yeah looks like a 8212. Twin tube AL body shocks. Pretty damn nice, re-valvable, double adjustable. Not quite 2812's but I'd figure they'd catch around a grand used. Its a custom setup to the best of my knowledge though. I dont see these sitting on the shelf anywhere.

I can get them for about $1k nz (around $700.00 US). I can probably get $800 odd for my current shocks so the difference won't be a lot.

Any one here ever used them and have any comments?

yep. I like the 28s and the 30 series but can't afford either...

Okay I bought the shocks, feel quite nice on road. very similar to the HSD's I have been running. Maybe slightly less comfortable on the rear but I suspect that is due to them not having the NB setup i.e less travel. I have a track day this weekend so will be able to compare laptimes before and after...should be interesting.

One thing I wonder about is that Leafy suggested they would be double adjustable. I may have his point wrong but they only have the single adjuster at the top which (according to the P.O) was a rebound/compression mix.

Does this mean they are NOT the shocks you thought they were?

There isn't an adjustment on the bottom......I presume that rules out what you guys thought they were?

Those look like Single Adjustables to me as well. No **** on the bottom. The rebound adjuster at the top is very good though.
