Racetech RT4009 Seat with stock seat mount points?

Anyone have this seat and was able to run it without cutting up the car or removing the stock seat mount points? lol, and is able to pass a broomstick test. Sure looks like it will but after trying to mount Sparco Ergo's in my car, I'm gun-shy unless someone else has already tried this before.

Here are the specs, https://racetech-usa.com/shop/RT4009-motorsport-seats

All the specs look solid and I measured and it seems like it should work but I need a hand.

Thanks!

Are you 4'8" or 6'8" or somewhere in between?

lol, somewhere in between. 5' 8" so not tall. However w/ the OEM NB1 seats & a helmet I wouldn't pass a broomstick test. Went to Sparco Sprints w/ a Blackbird GT3 rollbar and now I do. However Sparco Sprints aren't great so I would like to have something a with a bit more leg support if possible. I'm just concerned that since I haven't seen anyone running this seat I don't know if it will clear everything in the cabin.

Here's where the sprints sit for reference so I assume these would work based on the dimensions but I'm not 100%. The sprints are mounted using the PCI sprint specific seat brackets so they are about as low as you can get. With a fiberglass seat, they look like they sit up a little higher.

Racetech uses very thick bottom cushions by default, so there’s another inch to be had by buying their thin lower cushion.

I have an RT4009. In my evo 8...

Hands down my favorite fixed back seat I've ever sat in. I've done 16 hours of driving straight in that seat short of stopping for gas. Only reason I thought I'd mention my experience is that I fit in it fairly snug and I'm 6'1" w/ 31" waist and a 34" inseam. If you're over a 34" waist you'll probably want the wide version.

Ah ok good to know. Yeah I don't think I'd be too pleased if I had to do a 16 hour drive in my sprints.

Looks like the wing width is wider by 30mm. However the part that concerns me are the side mount bosses that are higher up so I don't know if I can drop the seat down as low like the sprint that can basically sit on the floor. lol, just hoping someone else has used one to give me an idea of whether or not I have to hack up the car to make it fit. I don't think I will have to but I'm just being cautious now.

I have the wide version of these seats, bought the Planted side mounts for it, and it will not fit in the car without the trans tunnel modification (banging on it, or in my case, I'll be cutting out a section and welding with flat plate). At this point, I also plan on removing the stock seat "humps" on the base of the floor so I can attach the seat side mount brackets directly to the floor and not the little humps/risers the stock seats bolt to. This will drop the seat probably 1.5" or so.

It may add some confusion since I have the wide version and you don't, but I wanted to let you know what I'm running into.
