Default TTE which theoretically would be quicker NT01 vs Z214 C71

I'm always looking/thinking of ways to be quicker.

Current setup I'm looking to swap
2000 car- raceland header 15x9 nt01

vs

2000 car- 2001 header 15x9 z214 c71 tires.VS 2000 car- 2001 header 15x9 r7 tires. VS 2000 car- Raceland 15x9 toyo rr tires.

If I swap the header I free up some points. Just looking to see if anyone has had this setup.

He is definitely points based if he plans to get points back for the header.

I think the new rules are basically 5 points for a header (includes a full exhaust) or 3? for everything behind the header.

Dropping the 99 header is worth some power, but I would say it depends on how close/if you meet your max weight to power ratio.

Are you reclassing as an 01 and taking the 7pts?

If not, the 01 header isnt free now that 01-05 nb2s are on a separate line.

A header is not going to make up the difference in the tires.

If you want to be competitive you should choose tire points over an ebay header.

What Dan and Luke said. Put the shitty stock cast header back on the car and run hoosiers.

Oh crap. For whatever reason thought you could update/backdate. I have a 97 header I've been itching to make work with a new lower pipe.

No dyno reclass. Everything above is correct.
Edit:nvm na header is a different line too. So no borrowed parts.

Car is down on power no doubt about it. Nowhere near the limits. Maybe a dyno reclass/class is worth it?

Down on power compared to what? Other TTE cars or the engine is just tired and needs rebuilt?

You are definitely not going to make ~144whp on some junk engine. You will need a 0-pt rebuild and some good tuning work before you will get close.

Not a chance, I maybe interested in this dyno reclass. I'll look into how the points end of things work. Could I dyno reclass into TTE even though I'm already in TTE?

Butdyno is telling me i'd be lucky to crack 120whp. Just tired in general.
