Default Which is faster top down or up?i

I am running a time attack and I do not have a hardtop. I was just wondering if it is faster for me to run with the top down or up? Or it does not really matter at all?

I heard top up/hardtop with rear glass removed is fastest.

This is what I'm running and seems to work best for me. All configuration run into a wall of air at about 100mph.

With windows down/removed maybe, but not with side windows up, then there is no advantage in removing the rear window.

Fastback is the slickest one.

No top with cage is the worst, real risk of being run over by cars approaching from behind (they get sucked into the draft faster than they can imagine).

The time spend at 80+ plays a big role in if it's worth worrying about drag.

Check with your sanctioning body, but the races I do require that any convertible tops are down and secured in place

What about a third variable, removing the an entire heated glass top assembly vs top up?
