Recommended Pedal Covers
What do you suggest to replace worn out, stock rubber bits?

Grip tape.

Mazda sells brand new pedal rubbers. B092-43-028 (for NAs), $3.92/ea from Comp. I assume that part number is the same for all NA/NBs.

Yeah. I just saw how cheap the factory ones are. Will go that way. Thanks all.

I bought a set of these back when I first bought my Miata and didn't like the pedal position for heel/toe. It's been years and I still like them.
Grip Satin https://www.srpracing.com/pd_99-05_miata_nb.cfm They're aggressive as hell, and also not cheap. They're nice because they really lock into your racing shoes. Once you put some pressure on the brake pedal there's no chance of slipping off even with wet shoes. I consider them a safety feature at this point, having used rubber covers during rain sessions. PSA: Always dry you soles off after getting in the car! |
OEM rubber. IL motorpsorts are a cool option, but slippery when wet I guess. I also have 2 sets of M2 pedals, but these seem even worse; at least the IL ones have these rubber dots on them.
|
I have IL Motorsports. I don't notice them slippery when wet, but I was also driving with no pedal covers at all for a few months which was slippery as shit. Very tough to get them on, will probably have to cut them off.

I ordered a set from Rock Auto.
They were really inexpensive, and the exact same tread, size and part number as the worn out originals. Go figure. |
