Roll Call: Global Time Attack SLB 2017
 

Alright who's in? Nov. 9/10 at Buttonwillow. Figured it would be nice to have a thread to talk about the event and see who all is going, either to drive or to spectate.
What is everyone bringing, what class are you running, any goals in mind?

I think the 949 crew has Bullet the S1 car registered. GoodWin and Blackbird Fabworx might be out as well?
Myself and buddy Tim (Girth Brooks) will be making the trip from AZ and NM respectively.

I'll be in Unlimited because Hoosiers, and with only 133HP I'm just going for the experience and to try to go sub 2 minutes. If I don't get last in class I'll be surprised. I've never driven the track before but have been there a couple times for other GTA events.

Goodwin crew is going. I can only assume it will be Ryan in Hyper and Sean and/or Brian is their Blue ND or Sean's Scooby.

Sonny and I may end up driving something. Dunno what yet, we'll see.

I'll be driving Creampuff in URWD.

Tim (Girth Brooks) ordered carpet and HVAC off eBay, that turd is gonna be in street with my stock 1.8 under the hood. :D

Sounds like there's going to be a good Miata turnout there. Maybe I can talk to Jason and see if most of us can be pitted near each other if you guys are game, I'm pretty sure they're doing assigned spots.


Right on. Have you heard anything from Andrew? Would be cool to have the Trackspeed S1 car out there as well.

Depending on my TV schedule and all I am planning on going. Will be in Limited.

I will probably come down to heckle and taunt people. Won't bring a car.

Just try to get to Phx earlier than 2PM when we meet up or else getting out of town is going to take forever. Rush hour on the I-10 heading west sucks ass.

I hope to make it out just as a spectator, and to ogle over some of the cars.

I'm really excited that we're seeing more Miatas at this event. We know we are bringing spoons to the horsepower gunfight that is SLB. The Miata will always be the underdog, but I am OK with that.

At least I'm up to a metal spoon after previously running with a plastic teaspoon ;)

The majority of SLB entries range from pistol to full assault rifle. Meanwhile, us Miata guys are furiously filing our metal spoons into points, prison shank style...

Worked for me in the one movie I played an extra prisoner (true story!).

I'll be extremely surprised if I don't come in dead last in class. Pretty much just there to enjoy the track, try to reach a personal lap time goal, to party and see all my GTA friends. Maybe even get a Willow Ranch calendar...
