TDR i/c and tow hook compatibility
 
I have a TDR i/c, and the track group I want to go with requires front tow hook(s).

The TDR i/c plastic panels cover one of the mounting bolt holes of the "baby teeth".

Anyone have a solution?

Can you cut the plastic?

I haven't looked at the SCCA GCR in a few years but it was legal to use a nylon strap. That may be an alternative if you don't want to cut any thing, and you can trust how you mount it to hold the weight of your car being pulled out of a mud pit.

Trim the panel just enough to install it. We put two hooks on with the intercooler all the time.

how many bolt holes does that leave u? i should think 3 is fine. 2 is probably fine as long as they are longitudinal and not transverse if that makes sense.

Just use something like this then. Should be lighter than any metal tow hook too:
