So right now Im in the middle of rebuilding the motor but while the car is down and apart I want to address some other things. (95 1.8l turbo, 6-speed, looking for 300ish hp)

The car is more of a street car but will see some autocross events next season, maybe even the last event of this season. I am curious if my suspension setup is right/going to be okay and what else should I be looking into or change. Mostly interested in spring rates.

I currently am running the R-package bilsteins with a ground control kit, and Eibach 450lb/250lb springs. I also am running the hollow Racing Bear front sway bar with the strengthing blocks, rear MSM sway bar, poly control arm and rear diff bushings, Supermiata 70D motor mounts, Supermiata front and rear adjustable endlinks, and front and rear carbing strut bars. Tires are 225/45x15 BFGoodrich Rivals on 6UL 15x8 wheels.

250lb rear springs and 300whp aren't going to play particularly nice together. What's your budget?

honestly, I would drop the strut tower bars. Especially for autocross. I would move to stiffer springs also.

Bilsteins will take 500-550 lb springs. Not sure about lifespan, but it won't be oversprung (550 maybe possibly a bit too high).

Or just sell the bilsteins and springs and buy xidas.

IMHO, just depends on how seriously you want to autox it, because 550s aren't enough spring if you run r-comps and that kind of power.

The 550s would be ok on 225 but if you step up to 275s I'm finding that even 850/500 doesnt seem like enough spring. I've also been told by a national level STS driver that revalves his own shocks that the R-package billies in the front are almost perfectly valved for 700lb springs.

Budget can be about anything really but doesn't mean I want to spend a bunch of money lol

Okay. I have the strut bars mostly for some bling anyways. I don't have a lot of faith that they really do much. I just like bracing.

Also I have a set of BC coilovers but I figured they would be worse than the Bilsteins.

I wont be running R-comps. Ill be autocrossing just for fun. Not needing to be super competive but would like a decent setup. Like to beat my buddies.

I had a local guy recommend 700/400. But I would like it to work well on the street as well.

700/400 is workable on the street if you have decent shocks.
