Trying to future proof but is this overkill?

I have a '91 with an older Greddy setup (from what I can tell). It's currently running 14 psi which is probably around the 200 whp mark give or take. I plan to take it to 3-4 DE's this year and am concerned about the cooling. The previous owner did a re-route and it still has an OEM radiator, AC and no oil cooler. After reading through the massive cooling thread and oil cooler thread I've decided to try both out before I do any hood venting (body is in perfect shape with original paint, don't want to screw that up yet).

My plan is to buy the TSE radiator, 13" SPAL fan and place an oil cooler (16 row?) behind the radiator (no room up front). I will also do some ducting to make sure air flows through the stack as it's getting pretty thick. Is the massive TSE radiator overkill? Will the SuperMiata radiator work just fine?

I'm already planning on future upgrades to this car including either a 1.8 swap or a K miata swap. I want to make sure whatever I purchase can handle those as well.

Your thoughts appreciated.

Overkill on cooling is a good thing. Get the TSE

If you aren't going turbo, then you 99% likely don't need the monster TSE radiator and the SPM one should work fine. However, everyone who gets one loves it and it is a great piece.

If you go with a K swap, nothing fancy is needed on the cooling end. Any cheap aluminum radiator will keep it perfectly cool on track, we've never had an issue.

For the price, we like the Mishimoto radiators that we carry, but I'm also a big fan of the TSE radiator. More radiator certainly won't hurt you.

Lol, I was gonna say :) I just mean that there is no need to upgrade in preparation for a K swap if he decided to go that route.

Not sure how I skipped right over that lol.

Sometimes I worry about me...
