I run more boost when mot doing NASA TT. For autocross I simply have more peak torque than traction in second gear even with 275 A6.

Too much feels about right to me.

I dont care about drag, which is why I never even considered anything besides the 275s.

yes I make right at 300 ft-lbs or a little under at the low boost setting. broke 4th gear in 3 of them including a Mazdaspeed box on track.

You can't tell if DynaPac numbers are legit unless the Sidebar is posted as part of the pic. You can show Axle Power or estimated flywheel power. On the sidebar the "AxlePOW" and "Power" numbers will be the same if the operator is showing you legit numbers. If they are different you will know that the operator has added in some form of "correction" factor to fudge up the numbers.

One of the easiest dynos to manipulate.....but the most easy to spot the manipulation of you have the whole dyno sheet.

I'm going back to Evans Tuning on Thursday morning on the way to Watkins Glen for some additional partial throttle tuning. When I get there, I'll ask him if he "added in some form of "correction" factor to fudge up the numbers"………..

Just back from WGI - car ran great - did a 2.14.9 = nicely mid pack in Porsche instructor run group - probably leaving a solid 2s on the table with better braking at 1 and bus stop.

Sooooooo, after 3 years of hard slog and just when my black turbo is running like a champ, we have decided to move back home to the UK.

As a result, I am selling all of my miatas including the black turbo in order to go Caterham Lotus 7 racing when get home



If you have been following this thread, you know this is a no expense spared, high quality build which started with a full caged SPEC MIATA and finished with a 300 rwHP Monster with 275 hoosiers and front / rear aero. This car was quicker that a new Porsche Turbo around Pocono and killed most porsches in the red run instructor group at the mighty Watkins Glen
