obviously if you are running 150whp turbo in 20 minutes HPDE going 10 seconds slower than SM record, I am sure you do not need ANY of the stuff on the list. On the other hand, if you are Savington in his 350whp, you will need everything on that list to survive a 3 hours enduro race.

+1. On that entire list, there are three things I don't have:

EGT (E85 exempts me from this requirement)
Diff cooler (I need one of these)
Tranny cooler (I need one of these)

All of this reminds me why I am building a NA track car. Because I am cheap.

I would like to get my turbo to that level, but, That is more money than I make currently. I would like to have a better car and a mean *** turbo on the track, I guess I will have to settle with teh slow. Although, neither of my cars are together yet.

When ur na makes 400whp, you will need most of the mods on that list.

+1 on what savington said about E85. It lets you get away with a lots

When I said na making 400whp, I did mean naturally aspirated.
If you are making 400whp regardless how you achieve it, you will need to handle its thermal, putting power down, etc...

We talked about this months ago. Come up with something. I still like the idea of a NASCAR style drive-shaft belt pump.

It's fairly easy to do, just a bit expensive/hard to stomach. I could put together a kit for around $600 if someone were legitimately interested.

Electric fluid transfer pumps from MOCAL. Self priming and flow a good amount.

I have mine pulling oil from the bottom of the pan, pumping through an oil cooler, and back into the top of the pan. Works like a charm.

You can do the exact same thing with your transmission or differential really.

I'm actually thinking what needs to be added to the list prior to tranny and Diff cooler is a dry sump oil system for the engine.

The breather and oiling system isn’t covered by the list and I think seems to be a problem for boosted track cars especially in the 300+ hp range. The stock system sucks and most of what people have been trying don’t seem to work well either. I got a setup that seems to be working OK now but I think the way to go would be dry sump.

I've been waiting for a dry-sump set-up which costs less than an OSGiken diff for a while now.

What's bad about the 460cc rx7 injectors. I have the 550cc high impedance ones, are those also not the ones to use for track?

Its not that they are bad, they are just a very old design.

Would that explain why I have issues trying to get off and on the throttle smoothly? I've been trying to get rid of this lurching problem when i get off and on the throttle. I try to get on the throttle as gently and smoothly as i possible. It's not like the car is rocking back and forth like crazy, but it still jerks, which is something I really don't need mid-corner. lol.

It could possibly explain it. How long ago were they last cleaned? What engine management? Do you have datalogs of it?

+1 on RX7 cleaning.

RX7 injectors are very well-known in the RX7 world to be extraordinarily unreliable if they haven't been cleaned.

The Bosch EV-14 based injectors are fantastic if you can afford them. Even the huge ones have great response and great idle characteristics. These are the injectors that several of the aftermarket injectors are based on, like Fuel Injector Clinic (FIC) and Injector Dynamics (ID) injectors for the Miata.

Not saying that is your problem, but the 1100cc EV-14 injectors I had idled better than freshly cleaned (Witch Hunter) 550cc RX7 injectors, even on pump gas. They are the shizzle, and priced accordingly. DVCN ended up with mine when I parted out my turbo car (sniff) and he is really happy with them; he is running E85 in a turbo Miata.

For the track responsiveness may not matter as much since the injectors are at a high duty cycle anyway. But then again the spray pattern and droplet size is still important, and IIRC the EV-14 spray pattern is a lot better than the RX7 injectors. I am sure someone **cough**Emilio**cough** will be along shortly to clarify.
