will steering effort decrease noticabily between a 250mm and 330mm?
Just curious if anyone has a comparison to offer.

Should be. I can notice the difference between a 330 and 350 steering wheel. Without power steering.
|
really, that is fantastic news. if the alignment doesn't help, a new wheel is plan B. thanks!

I can't stand 330mm wheels. 350mm feels perfect. I think I'd just refuse to drive anything with a 250mm wheel.

If napkin math is correct, then a 10 lb steering force on the 330mm wheel would feel like 13.21lbs on a 250mm.
I am really happy with my Nardi Deep Corn 350mm with factory NB manual steering rack. |
Using a 300 wheel due to removable cage...
Force is not the issue, the precision is. |
I've got more slop in the lash of my rack than I'm worried about with my wheel diameter. Depending on alignment/caster settings, it might put up one hell of a fight using a tiny wheel on uneven surfaces.
If steering force is not an issue and you need more precision.... http://www.jegs.com/images/photos/500/505/505-522B2.jpg Or steer with your right foot. |
There is a very noticeable difference between my 280mm and 350mm. 280mm with power steering gives a very nice weight.
