Just wanted to throw this out there. For anyone looking for a better quality aluminum radiator than the Ebay rads for Ebay pricing, check out PRC in Douglasville, GA. They just built my radiator for the V8 car.

They are all aluminum, TIG welded and they will build to your specs. Inlet / outlet wherever you want them, whatever size you want. They are double pass radiators. Mine must be 60mm thick. They have the dimensions for NA's and NB's and have hold downs in the stock locations. They have built quite a few V8 Miata radiators.

I'll get a pic up soon. Mine was $250 and $15 shipping. I also got a fan and wiring harness, plus adjustable temp sender so it runs independent of the car. On and off can be set 185-215*. Harness was $40 and sender setup was $40. Not happy with the fan, though. It was $75 and came in a no-name China box, so I'm sending that back and buying a quality fan.

Best of all it is built here in America. Which is something that I can't say about the other ones out there that we are using.

That is a good price for a custom radiator. I just paid $180 for a 26"x19"x3" aluminum Griffin Racing radiator for the LS1 car and the outlet fitting was not quite where I wanted it. I had to splice together some hoses to get it to route properly. If I could have had a custom neck welded on instead...

That is a nice looking radiator. I like the tubular sections on the tops of the tanks. I presume that is so you can use the stock upper brackets?

Looks like your water pump barely clears the radiator like in my car.

Yes, the uppers and lowers line up with the factory mounts. That said, they are too big to use the stock rubbers so I will have to find something else and drill out the upper and lower mounts. Knowing this, I might suggest pulling the mounts off of a stock one, measuring the studs (about 12mm or so) and have them use that.

Water pump clears by 1/2". I could move the brackets more but I think this will suffice. It's a taller rad than stock. I relocated the lower mounts to the front sway bar mount holes so about 2" forward and 2" drop from stock. I hope I don't run into any lower clearance issues. I slid on the bumper cover and it is well up into that range.

Ahh yeah I see the relocated lower brackets now. I think you will be fine. I did the same thing in my NB to make room for an IC and the lower radiator clearance was OK, no problem. It screws up the stock undertray arrangement a bit but considering the magnitude of your overall modification effort that is trivial.

Looks good. Hang in there BTW. The V8 thing is pretty awesome and it will be worth it.

I got the aluminum IL motorsport radiator for my b-day. It's basically an OEM replacement, drops right in. Bosses for the OEM fans too. 50mm core and 60mm tanks for less than $200.
