Back by popular demand - a new Ohlins group buy

We'll need 15 people on board to make this happen. We are running this across a few forums and are already about halfway to our target. This is applicable for the NA/NB kits, and NC kits.

May 31st will be the end of the group buy, and payments will not be accepted after this date.

Stock We've got a couple kits in stock currently but are gearing up for our big yearly restock and can save some cost consolidating everything into one large order. The restock order will have a lead time of 6-8 weeks for production and sea shipping to the US. Kits will ship to customers immediately upon arrival. Those of us who are unfamiliar with SakeBomb please look us up, we've been been in the FD community for many years with an absolutely flawless reputation.

All sets that are pre-paid during this group buy will be guaranteed GB pricing regardless of ship date.

Here's how the GB will work:

We have set up a product page to purchase a non-refundable GB spot for $100. This is your deposit. Each person will then receive a unique coupon code via email to be used at SakeBombGarage.com for group buy pricing.

As this is a group buy we need ALL ORDERS FINALIZED FOR SUBMISSION AT THE SAME TIME to submit the order. This means EVERYONE purchasing a kit will need to be paid IN FULL before May 31st so the order can be processed.

To place your deposit, please visit: www.SakeBombGarage.com/group

As a side note, we are able to offer suspension for other chassis as part of this deal as well. If you have friends interested please let them know. These cars include:
FD
RX8
NC Miata
S2K
Mini
Evo
etc...

Thanks for your interest, and please ask if you have any questions. For those that are unfamiliar with us, we are also a Swift dealer and can supply kits with custom spring rates. We also provide custom valving to your specifications through Ohlins USA. Just shoot us a PM for details.

Not every business/sponsor has savvy marketing skills... or branding skills.

"For those that are unfamiliar with us, we used to be Static Nine in the bay area, until we changed up the ownership. Many (some?) of us are still here and moving towards new and exciting directions."

Or something like that.

I wonder if they still sell Miata products for more than it would cost you to order directly from the manufacturer (even after factoring in shipping costs)?
That never seemed like a viable business model to me, but what do I know. I'm just a lowly consumer.

Missed the link that took me to the active page. The cover page photo above has 2014 which is what threw me. Sorry.

You have to PM or email us at info@sakebombgarage.com , unfortunately due to agreements with the manufacturer for "advertised price" we can't list anything but retail publicly.

So this is an issue we've been running into recently... and I'm not sure how to fix it at this point. The shop "SBGarage" is a completely different business than us "SakeBomb Garage LLC". Our website is sakebombgarage.com their website is sbgperformance.com . "SBGarage" used to be "Static Nine Garage"

SakeBomb Garage LLC (us) has been in business for 7 years, in the FD community only so far but have been working to expand into the Miata arena. Since we're not a repair shop, only a R/D and internet sales, last year we tried to team up with Static Nine keeping the two companies separate but having them do local sales and installations. I had a sales office in their shop for a couple months, and we were trying to team up under one unified name and they wanted to get away from their previous name Static Nine... so I suggested we operate together and under the SakeBomb Garage name.

Suffice to say, in short order the relationship went sour for reasons I won't get into... and we've been dealing with the aftermath ever since. We're still trying to regain inventory that went over there, so far with little luck, and it may end up just being a loss. Since we're both located in California (we're in Santa Clara, they are in SF) it's been even more confusing trying to separate ourselves from them. Lesson learned, but it's been affecting our business now for months and it's an unfortunate situation.

To make matters worse, on certain forums they are using the established forum name we've had for years on various forums which was 'SBGarage'. We've been a paying vendor on RX7Club for years, and were a supporting vendor for a couple years before that. We've been in business 7+ years... and I'm really not sure how to prevent the company reputations from bleeding over into each other at this point. It's a bad situation, and if anyone's got suggestions to help differentiate the two I'm all ears. We've got an outstanding reputation on the RX7Club forum and have for many years. Please see our "join date" below on RX&Club... we're quite established, and have been for a long time. Unfortunately all I can say is, look us up, we don't have anything negative associated with us (aside from being a bit slow on headlight Group Buy deliveries )

Again our website SAKEBOMB GARAGE LLC is NOT in any way connected to or associated with sbgarage / sbgarage performance / sbgperformance.com

Suffice to say we've been in business for quite some time and have many upcoming Miata products in the works to add to our growing list.

Wow. Extremely informative.

All I can say is, go hit up all the other Miata forums and repost this there?

It might help especially since your R&D company predates the old S9 location... Also explains some of the weird messages I've received from whomever is manning the SBGarage accounts.

On other forums I assume? Shoot me a PM, inquiring minds want to know

Honestly I don't want to stir up any more drama than already exists with that shop, our goal now is to just get our remaining inventory back, and distance ourselves and our business from theirs. Both of which will not be easy to do.
