12.30@118.39mph w/ old 96 motor with SSAutochrome manifold and eBay turbo
The setup has been on the car since 7/2007. Build thread link in sig.

Impressive. I have to ask: you mention in the first page of our build thread that you autox twice monthly plus daily driving and track duty. Has your entire eBay setup held up to that all along?

The car does no one thing great but is a blast to drive and has working A/C. I feel that I've spent the least amount of money to get reliable power yet be conservative enough to make a worn out engine put out decent power.
I don't want to disclose what I think it puts out(flame suit out being repaired) but the weight of the car going down the track was 2528lbs and the trap speed was 118.39mph. Plug that into a calculator and it returns true whp per pure physics.
You and Apexonyou. Were basically the inspiration for my ebay build, and mine is still kicking I cant wait to get mine to a 1/4 mile track.
Your Mph is incredible! Keep doing whatever it is your doing, a little more boost and a 1.8 60" and you'll be in the 11's!

I backed the timing off 2°-3° last year to try to make the motor last longer. There was a noticeable drop in power so I think it's very conservative.
more like a 3.6
but then his trans would call it quits shortly after I bet
This is very impressive. Only other person I've seen do this on a stock engine/trans was a local guy with a 94 running a gt35r on e85.
He blew his engine just a few weeks ago. Best pass was 12.0 @ 118 IIRC. Stock engine stock trans.

Apexonyou did it on street tires too! He had launch control and laid down a 1.78 60', iirc. I only did a 1.94 on that run. He set things up perfectly.
The funny thing is that It's still going pig rich and hitting the boost cut before the traps so there is actually more power than what the mph indicates. The track was too busy and I only got two real runs so no tuning happened.
I've been thinking about a diy traction control method that is ugly but effective. This would be particularly helpful on the street. I pucker when I get wheelspin while passing gravel trucks on a two lane highway - in fourth gear.

This time I started with a 7500rpm rev limit and had taller tires to help the gear ratio and traction, 225/50-15's.
Fifth through the traps. I've contemplated shifting to 6th but didn't have enough runs to test it out. I think it would hurt ET but give more mph, maybe.
There is a lot more ET in the car, I just need to figure it out.

What were you thinking of for traction?
I posted up his dyno runs and quarter mile runs a bunch of times though.
3.90's would help. The last time at the track my trap speed was 115-116mph banging on the 7300rpm rev limiter. I raised it on my last run and I trapped at 117.8mph. This was on the shorter 205/55-14's.
